I wrote:
禮堂演的電影,演的多半是紀錄片。偶爾禮堂也演商業片。
It's supposed to say something that means: 'The movies shown in the auditorium are mostly documentaries. Occasionally, the auditorium also shows commercial movies.
*my vocabulary is not too big; I'm mostly concerned with word order here.

旁 or 旁边 that is the question in Chinese?
I am a beginner Chinese learner. 旁 is not in the Chinese lesson where we are learning words like shang and li. I want to say "I am by the door" 我在门口边。 (This is how it is presented to us in the lesson. (actually 这个男人在大楼边.) OK, so I need to know the Chinese pinyin for 旁 (I used Japanese to write this word. It means "neighborhood" in Japanese.) And, I want to hear more about how to use this word in this situation. Thank you.

Right now I’m attempting to learn Spanish, but my mom keeps telling me that later the language to learn will be Mandarin Chinese...I see her point and why she would think that but I would like more opinions. What do you think would be the language worth learning? I'm still going to keep on learning Spanish but after that I want to try to learn another that's why Id like to figure out what language I should learn next though I know its my choice I want some ideas first....Oh and another thing what might be some of the best ways to approach learning a different language?

My (Canadian) mother is currently living in China and is trying to learn to speak Mandarin Chinese. She is taking Chinese classes to learn it and is finding it difficult.
Do you have any tips I could give her to learn Chinese more quickly and easily? She has been feeling discouraged at times.
Thanks in advance.

I am going in the army soon for Military and at some point I will have to take a language course.
And so I either want to Mandarin Chinese or Japanese which one easier to pick up for a beginner in eastern languages?
If you learn one is it easier to learn another one or different ?for example French and Spanish are two different languages but I you are a native English speaker once you learn one the other is slightly easier because you get familiar with female/male words, with these two or completely different?
I heard that China is rising to power and would be a good language to learn for upcoming business wise but Japanese seems better for business what are your view points on this?
Thank you for your time
Note spellchecker just messing up what I wrote forgive me for my spelling

I've heard something along the lines of "Kai-Halla," but I'm not sure. I would like just a basic phonetic pronunciation of 53 in Chinese, please.

There are tall mountains as well as plateaus in Yunnan. Therefore, geographical conditions differ greatly. Everywhere the landscape is very beautiful. In many places, it's neither too cold nor too hot no matter when you go. It is very suitable for tourism.

I am getting a ring for my g/f this Christmas, (she is Chinese) and obviously I cannot understand the language (I am a white guy from Alabama).
Does anyone know how to say "you are amazing and beautiful" Chinese (western lettering)? Perhaps in Mandarin or something Fujainese people would understand?
Any help would be GREAT!
