If I want to say "You are like your father" can I translate that in this way(你像你的父亲)? In this case I refer not to appearance physics but the way the person is. can I omit 的? 你像你的父亲 你像你父亲

Chinese pinyin is the chinese for beginners to get used to the tones and vocals etc then I can learn either mandarin simplified or traditional. does anyone know the colors in Chinese pinyin or where I can find them? Please write the translation of them (etc. in english and pinyin) or the URL to find them. I have searched in google bing and all but nothing comes up, or nothing useful anyway - because its not in pinyin!
