I want my boyfriend and my name tattooed on me somewhere but I want it in Chinese letters. My name is Nani, his name is Irving. Throughout our relationship we created Nanirving as our special thing. I can't find this anywhere in Chinese, so I tried combining NaniIrving to make this 纳尼欧文boyfriend . It's disappointing how I can't literally combine them, but this will do. Is this a good idea or no?
Also, I would like the Chinese letters to "Inner Strength" such as making yourself the strength to keep you moving. Thanks a bunch!

In the Chinese phrase "zai nar" -- "located over there" how do you pronounce the "z" in "zai"?I'm never sure if it's pronounced like the z in "zebra" or if its pronunciation like the "dge" in "judge" -- which is it?

What is the difference between Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese? I'm a teacher trainer in several schools where we have an intake of both Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese speakers. If I put bilingual signs up do I need to find both?

So here is how it stands.
My parents bug me about the fact that good colleges (ivy league good) want 4 years of foreign language.
Currently I am a freshman in high school in Spanish 2. Personally Spanish is hard for me and the reason I get good test grades are because my teacher literally shows us the test before it starts. But she didn't do that for finals and the a's and b's students (including me) got d's and f's.
The classes my school has are French, German, Italian, Mandarin Chinese (2 years only), and Spanish.
I am not in Spanish honors and I'm not recommended for 3 honors but if I take another language I might be able to get into honors in the first year.
So my big question is should I stick with Spanish regular or take another language with a chance for honors?

It is good/nice to hear your voice.
What is your schedule for the week like? (or something that would lead them to tell me what they do during the week, ex- i have a class from x-x and i work from y-y and study from z-z...)
When would you be able to set aside 30 minutes to have just a friendly conversation.
Thanks.

Easy 10 points. I need to literally write "Family Tree" But can't find anything on Google.
Also, if there is (I’m not sure) and simplified version, that would help (: thanks in advance)

Ok I’m looking to learn a new language, and would like to try to learn Chinese. I am wondering what are some good resources or software/programs that would help me learn Chinese. I have no prior knowledge of any Chinese or any other Asian language for that matter. I was also wondering how long it would take to learn Chinese before I could actually hold a conversation with a native. Thanks.
