"Bu zou" -- is this correct? How about "bie zoulu" -- why does my book add the "lu" to "zou" (walk?)??? Are both going to be understood as "don't walk"?

I know there are many variations of Chinese but would watching films help me to learn Mandarin, or cantonese? I realise this question might be a tricky one to answer so a fairly explanatory answer would be welcome.

Hello. I'm half Chinese and half Korean. Raised by my Korean mother, I've only learned Korean. Reuniting with my father, who can speak Chinese, Korean, and English has inspired my to learn my other native language. Recently, my father said that I can move to China for 1 to 2 years, in order to learn, but my question is what school do I go to in order to learn Chinese? Is there an Foreigner school which teaches Chinese for people who speak English? Also, how long do you think it will take to learn Chinese? I'm currently 13 years old. Thank you for reading this, greatly appreciate it.

I.e. a proper course or any materials; I am a beginner. Look for a low cost but excellent Chinese language programme that can take me up to a good level of Chinese language. Perhaps with options to progress further. Thank you very much!

The pinyin is cun (first tone), and the sentence is:
红色的嘴CUN总是好时髦的。
My teacher wrote the character out for me, but I can't read her handwriting and the characters my computer offers won't match what she wrote. It looks like there's a a roof radical, a mouth radical at the bottom, and something else between the roof and mouth.

The way I understand it leaves me confused.
Wo yao tang = I want soup
Wo xiang tang = I would like soup
Wo xiang yao tang = I would like want soup <-- This I don't understand. Isn't this redundant?
This is mandarin Chinese pinyin, by the way.
Additional Details
So, in the case of "wo xiang yao tang", the "xiang" has absolutely nothing to do with "would like to"? The "xiang" is put before the "yao" to make "wo yao tang" sound more polite? If so, then what is the actual definition of "xiang" in "xiang yao" or should "xiangyao" just be seen as one word basically meaning "politely want"?
