Really need help! I'm in China now and very close to graduating..So now I'm writing me thesis, it's about the books for beginners studying Chinese. If somebody used before New Practical Chinese reader book 1 or the book that is called 汉语教程 also the first one, please respond and tell me what do you think about these two books...would be very helpful if you can include where you are from, how long have you been studying Chinese and if you were studying in china, which university and which book you used!!
Thank you, everybody!!!

After graduating, i plan to study in America. I chose to study in America because my mom and dad graduate from university there. America has always been my favorite country since i was young because the place is very clean and the weather is nice. There is also no traffic and the people are very friendly. I really like the food also because it taste very delicious. I often go there with my family for holiday in the winter.I also have a house there so if i go there, i already have a place to stay. I want to go to college and then go to university. After graduating university, i want to find a job there. If i can get a job there, i want to stay there and work.

I want to say this kind of expressions in Chinese
- He was THAT sad THAT he started to cry
- There were some things WHICH make him feel unhappy
- The tool THAT he used was the one WITH WHICH he fixed the computer.
- Show me WHAT I am looking for to know WHAT to do
As the last point I want to know how to express conclusive ideas in Chinese, I mean this as below:
John: I do not know how to say her that somebody stole her car
Maria: You have to say it to her (the expression /say it/ would replace -- say her to somebody stole her car --)
Jonh: But I do not like to do it(the word / it / would replace -- to say her to somebody stole her car --)
Charles: Jonh you have to (the expression /have to/ would replace -- to say her to somebody stole her car --)

I recently took an interest in learning Chinese, but I don't have any resources.
Back when I was learning Japanese, it was made pretty easy and structured.
I found many step by step guides on what it is that I should do.
1. Learn the HIragana
2. Learn the Katakana
3. Learn the Kanji
4. Learn Sentence Structure
Also, there was a very nice website with the Kanji categorized by grade level making it easy.

Is there anything like this link above for learning Chinese?
Preferably Mandarin.
