this is for my own personal education im curious as to how close i am to translating this correctly anyone out there who has the time to translate this it is much appreciated. Alright here it is: I went to Seattle for my holiday because I have family and friends that live there as well as a house. I lived in Seattle before I moved to Bei Jing this is why I frequently visit. I stayed in Seattle for three weeks at my old house. During this time I saw many old friends, snowboarded and family members from australia came and visited. My grandmother and grandfather on my mother side came from sydney to share christmas with us. An aunt and uncle also stayed for a few weeks in our house with us. My eldest sister came with her boyfriend on christmas. Both of them already live America. There are mountains to snowboard on within 30 minutes of my house. My favorite part of my holiday was seeing my old friends. Many of them can drive which made it easy to see a lot of them. Christmas and New Years were also fun with my family.

I need to make it sound right. Help!

okay, i will give you 3 examples to make it clear: 1) zi cong er ling ling ling (year 2000) nian, ..... = since year 2000 er ling ling ling nian yi lai , .... = since year 2000 zi cong er ling ling ling yi lai = since year 2000 which one is correct from above? 2) zi cong wo ren shi ta, ... = since i know him, ..... wo ren shi ta yi lai, .... = since i know him,...... zi cong wo ren shi ta yi lai, .... = since i know him,.... which one is correct?? 3) how to say "since 3 years ago" ??? zi cong san nian yi lai?? san nian yi lai? zi cong san nian? please help me jennifer. thank you so much for your help.

I'm learning Chinese from a Singaporean (who is of the age where hanyu pinyin was not taught in school). And I'm confused about "sh" and "x". It doesn’t seem that the pinyin is consistent with how it sounds. Lets go into examples ... ' xie xie - is - shie shie, but gao xing(happy) - is - gao sing, shou(hand) can either be so or sho? shenti(body) should sound like senti, does this mean shenme sounds like senma? Because shi(it/to be) is definitely sounding like sh. Any clarification on why "sh" and "x" can both be either closer to S or SH english sounds depending on word would be great! Maybe you can go to have a look.

My house is very big. I have 12 rooms in my house. 5 people live in my house they are: father, mother, older brother, younger sister and myself. My room is not big but it isnt small either. In my room i have a bed, a desk and window. My room isnt colourful. It is empty and a boring. My dog lives in my room. Out side my house is a street, on the other side there is my back yard which is very small. There arnt any trees in my back yard. My car is usually parked in my garage but is also parked outside sometimes. I live in a western style house. Other rooms that my house has are: laundry, 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 1 kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and 3 toilets. My laundry has a washing machine. This room is very small. My house has 2 refrigerators. And there is a phone in every-room in my house except for bathrooms. translation would be very helpful and into mandarin chinese would be very helpful to me thank you so much also the grammar is in english if you know enough chinese to put it in the correct format that would be awesome
