I need to know how to say " 'a persons name' is a funny teacher" using the word Shifu for the word 'teacher' in Chinese language. In addition, I want to learn some daily Chinese words. Can you help me? Thanks.

I was wondering how do you say "I don't care" in Chinese language. I'm actually seeking for a word "care". I already know how to say I, and how to make negation. Thanks a lot!

我想请问大家: “看书” 和 “读书” 有什么区别? 我的感觉是 ”读书“ 有点 ”学习“ 的意思, 而 ”看书“ 可能是某人的爱好或者乐趣。真的如此吗? 非常感谢大家的说明!

Would it be Ni(3) ke(2)yi(1) gei(2) wo(3)? Where do you put the "shi" for it? Or similarly if you want to say "Can you give me the [noun]?" Where does the noun go in terms of word order in Chinese grammar? Thanks:

One of my family members wants to get a tattoo of the phrase "Trust No Man."
in Chinese language.
We've of course been looking online, but it seems each translator is different.

I have to call this person. Our computer lists names by last name first and it says his/her name is "Liu, Hao-Chen", but I think Hao-Chen is the last (family) name.
Our computer is often wrong because it is only as good as the mail clerks putting in the name. He/she signed the name "Hao-Chen Liu".
So is Hao-Chen the last name? Is it Mr. or Ms.?

My Chinese teacher gave me an assignment. And I'm supposed to translate a Chinese text into English.
My Chinese teacher is very (VERY) big on preciseness. Last time we translated something, my Chinese teacher graded me down because I used "very" instead of "extremely".
For this assignment, should I translate directly? (Like, to the word, and to the comma, even to the point where it doesn't make sense in English?)
or should I just glean the meaning from the text and translate that?
