My Chinese teacher wants me to email her in Chinese (pin yin) and find an app for word or another thing that i can write in Chinese with. FREE???

Chinese pinyin is the chinese for beginners to get used to the tones and vocals etc then I can learn either mandarin simplified or traditional. does anyone know the colors in Chinese pinyin or where I can find them? Please write the translation of them (etc. in english and pinyin) or the URL to find them. I have searched in google bing and all but nothing comes up, or nothing useful anyway - because its not in pinyin!

can someone translate this paragraph for me into Chinese traditional characters? I really don't know how. In China, Red is an important color for the New Year and they use firecrackers to celebrate. Western New Year is celebrated also with firecrackers. In China, Valentine's Day is celebrated different also. In China, Lanterns are very popular for Valentine's Day. It is celebrated usually by being with the family and having a nice dinner. Finally, people go outside and play.

This is like a speaking competition. I need to memorize the essay/story. Also, it has to be in Mandarin Chinese. The competition is around 1/20/10. By then i need to memorize it. The story can be about anything. It can be an essay, story, anything. I'm looking for something that takes about a minute or two to read. Nothing longer. Please respond soon. If you wrote a story and you wouldn't mind me using it then thats fine. Or if you know a good website that has essays listed that i can use, that would be fine too. I know that I wrote it in Japanese. It is just to save me the trouble of looking up the pinyin. I know the characters (hanzi) from Japanese. But, I learned another method of transliterating Chinese (not pinyin) Oh now I am more confused than I was before. I did an exercise and the person who graded it worte 不錯 on it.

My (Canadian) mother is currently living in China and is trying to learn to speak Mandarin Chinese. She is taking Chinese classes to learn it and is finding it difficult.
