I'm going to be a high school -hopefully- history teacher.
I am a Spanish native speaker, but have some trouble reading and writing. I was thinking Spanish would be better, but I find it absolutely boring -_- I took some Chinese in high school and am really super interested in learning it in college. The thing with Spanish is that I can get certified or something like bilingual and it would help getting hired since there aren't a lot of jobs for history teachers in my area (inner city). What do you all think?

Hi all,
I have tried learning Mandarin before, but unfortunately it was an online course that ended after a couple of lessons. That way I only had introductions and some minor asking where 'something' is, like: "Xue yuan lu zai na er?" "Na er". If you know what I mean (hope I did it correct)
Anyway I also took a look at AskBenny, but only the beginners level is free after that it's pay time....
So does anyone know any good (free) resources for Mandarin Chinese?
Also, does anyone have some tips on it?
