I often default to the most commonly used "和", but wonder in many cases when the other forms would be more appropriate. Would be helpful if one could provide some english analog examples as well with the explaination.

I'm trying to send an email to a friend I met in China, with a few photographs attached in it. How would I say "I've attached photographs of us on the trip" in (Mandarin) Chinese? Having the characters (or at least pinyin) would be helpful, too. Thanks!
also, what classifier is used with 彩虹? Is it just 个?

Ok I know this is sort of a dumb question but I'm just curious what other people think.
I sort of want to learn Chinese, but I feel like I will just completely fail at pronouncing the words and sound really dumb. I feel like with an American accent, I'd sound really horrible and somewhat superficial trying to speak Chinese.
I'm not viewing this as a reason to consider for whether or not I learn it by the way; I just want to know what people think about it
Thanks

The most difficult aspect in learning Chinese is remembering the Chinese characters. I spend ten hours each week to listen to the tapes, read the notes and practice writing the characters. The skill I enjoy the most about learning Chinese is when I say the tones right.
