I am on my school's ping pong team. I play the funny caucasian person who can't communicate with anyone else very efficiently. We are taking a trip to St. Louis this weekend for a tournament and I think it would be fun for me to say something in Mandarin to the people I'm driving before we leave. I am a linguistics student, so you can use IPA contour markers or some sort of superscript to denote tone. Whatever it be, I'll be able to understand it (unless your handwriting sucks). I'd like to say: Let's go! To St. Louis! (idiomatic equivalent) Buckle up! (as in seat belts) and one last one that I think I could use to make things funny. "Of course" (like "yes, obviously") Thanks people for your help. I was wondering what this meant exactly. This is a Chinese name I was given. I am not entirely sure if I wrote it correctly. It is supposed to say something like Mae Wah. Or in Romanization it might look like Mei hua? My sister is similar. I was hoping if you could help me tell me how to write. Mei Li? As in pretty beautiful? I think that is the meaning of her name. Thanks. People have told me it means USA China.

I have a Chinese friend/penpal that has a name I have never in my life heard before, and I have no clue how to pronounce it. It's Me Zhumuting. How would you pronounce it? And which name would I refer to her as, Me or Zhumuting? I'm American, so that's not the order I'd put it in, which confuses me, and I'm wondering if it'd be more polite to call her by her family name or her given name. Thanks.
