It seems a lot of people are emphasizing how important it is to learn Mandarin Chinese, although the importance of it seems exaggerated. I understand the economics and business part, but other languages are important for that also, although perhaps not as much. Another thing is the number of speakers worldwide, I understand that TONS of people speak Mandarin Chinese, but most of them are concentrated in China. Why is this?

Western New Year is celebrated also with firecrackers. In China, Valentine's Day is celebrated different also. In China, Lanterns are very popular for Valentine's Day.
