I am a college Freshmen majoring in Public Relations I recently became interested in Chinese but I've heard that its really not necessary because the Chinese already know English. I need the phrases "ni de di yi ge chong wu jiao shenme?" "ni shi na li ren?" and "dan shi?" translated, a Chinese speaking person hacked my WoW account and I'm talking to them.

For example Ni xiang xianzai gen wo yi qi qu jiudian chi wufan me = Would you like to eat lunch with me now at the hotel? Could it be phrased "Xianzai zai jiudian ni xiang gen wo yi qi chi wufan ma?" And does the "qu juidian" mean "at the hotel" or do you have to say "zai jiudian" ? What's the difference?

And so I either want to Mandarin Chinese or Japanese which one easier to pick up for a beginner in eastern languages?
