My name is Eric, and when I started to learn Mandarin, my teacher assigned me this name: 尔瑞.
She never told me the meaning, and I would like to know.
I think I know what the individual characters mean; I just don't understand what they mean together.

I take Rosetta Stone as an online class at my school, and it never gives you english translations to anything. And I've come across a phrase that I have had no luck translating on any website. /:
The picture has a man saying this to an old lady: "ta shu yao yao."
And the old lady says: "wo qu yao dian."
Please help me out! -_- thanks.

che(1) is car in chinese and the character is 车
ku(4) is pants in chinese and the character is 裤
If you look closely, the symbol for car is inside the symbol for pants. Is there a reason for this? Is it just coincidence? Something about the derivation?
