How do you call an older lady (not related to you at all) approx. 20 years your senior in Mandarin? I'm currently taking Chinese and there's a Chinese woman in my class. She sits next to me and always helps me with the vocab. I could call her by her name but I want to respectful and I assume she would like to be called by title as well.
Thank you.
PS: Traditional and pinyin would help too.
Since we're at it, how do you call a much older woman (your grandma's age, not related to you) in Mandarin?

The pin yin "Sh" is roughly the same as in english as in "shhhhh". And the vowel "i" in pin yin is pronounced "eee". I understand that the second tonal mark is a mid to high rising sound. So why isn't the word for 10 "Shí" pronounced "She" (ending with a high tonal inflection). Why is the "ee" sound turned into almost an "r" sound as in the word "shear"? Any help would be appreciated.

veronica put my name on a dumb picture doll with other names on it. i DON"T like being tagged.. well facebook made it where if a person got tagged, they can't remove it. only the person who tagged you can remove it. i have asked every day.. every day i ask her to remove me from the picture.. she will not do it. this is what is called abuse. i don't want to report you or your teachers on facebook i will if you don't remove me.

Dajia hao. I’m learning Chinese, recently, I got a question about the word “不.”
In the phrase “不好 (bu4hao3) not good,” “不” is the fourth tone, but in “不要 (bu2yao4) don’t,” “不” is the second tone.
Can you please tell me which is right?

I know in mandarin if two 3rd tones are together, then the first one changes to a 2nd tone. Do they have to be in the same word compound, or can be two separate words just next to each other? for example. 我想念你-wo3 xiang3nian2 ni3- i miss you. "wo" is not part of "xiangnian", but does "wo" change to a second tone?

I know that if you want to say, for instance, "I am in my kitchen", you would have to say "wo zai wo de chu fang li". However, sometimes I see sentences like this where the "li" has been omitted. Is this just a form of abbreviation, like leaving out "shi" (to be)?
Thanks in advance :)
