I have a Chinese friend/penpal that has a name I have never in my life heard before, and I have no clue how to pronounce it. It's Me Zhumuting. How would you pronounce it? And which name would I refer to her as, Me or Zhumuting? I'm American, so that's not the order I'd put it in, which confuses me, and I'm wondering if it'd be more polite to call her by her family name or her given name. Thanks.

I was wondering what this meant exactly. This is a Chinese name I was given. I am not entirely sure if I wrote it correctly. It is supposed to say something like Mae Wah. I've learned that the chinese word for older brother is "Gege" (sorry, no pinyin marks) but in an episode of Show(Xiao Zhu) i heard him say "Ge". Is this a shorter way of saying gege? And does this also apply for mama, baba, meimei etc.? Do people accept this?
